Update on Our Ministerial Search – January thru March 2021

News from the Settled Ministry Search Committee, January 25, 2021.

Our search process is right on schedule. We are happy to report that All Peoples attracted a number of talented applicants. The committee has spent most of the month of January reviewing ministerial records and web sites, watching recorded sermons, checking references, scheduling initial online interviews, and meeting so many inspiring representatives of the UU clergy.

We have invited our top four choices to pre-candidating weekends, and all four have accepted our invitation. Over the next two months, we look forward to spending more time with each one, listening to their neutral pulpit sermons, conducting more in-depth interviews, and getting to know the personalities and aspirations of each of our applicants. At the end of the pre-candidating period, we look forward to introducing our candidate to the congregation in April.

The committee sends thanks to All Peoples congregants who participated in our survey, focus groups, and cottage meetings. Your input has been incredibly helpful as we established priorities and collaborated on a long list of challenging decisions. We feel your faithful support as we continue working to identify a minister who will thrive in our church community, and who will best serve the needs and aspirations of All Peoples in the years to come.
