The Salaam Network
The Salaam Network is a Louisville interfaith group of educators, peacemakers, writers, and supporters committed to building bridges of understanding and harmony from a knowledge-based foundation.
The primary goal of The Salaam Network is to create education-based awareness regarding Islam, the commonalities amongst the three Abrahamic religions, and the humanistic values common to major world religions and wisdom traditions, as well peace-and-justice activists.
At this critical time when our country is so bitterly divided and dark clouds of bigotry, hatred and ethnocentrism threaten to obscure the light of the open-heartedness of this land of immigrants, The Salaam Network stands in solidarity with those who seek to make our community the abode of peace and wholeness.
“It is so inspiring to see efforts to bring knowledge about Islam to our community to dispel misconceptions. I am learning about the commonalities among the three Abrahamic religions of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and the humanistic values common to major world religions and wisdom traditions, as well as peace and justice activists. I will strive to make my Beloved Community of Louisville whole and harmonious.”

Response to TJ’s invitation to host the monthly Muslim Women’s Study Group 2019:
“…We were very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to conduct our teaching/training program for young Muslim women in TJ’s safe and sacred space. I want to offer my sincere thanks to you and other TJ staff members who have given us practical support to advance our educational mission. It is very good to know that TSN and TJ are partners in our common goal to work for the betterment of our Beloved Community. I believe that this initiative is going to have profound and long-lasting impact both on the Muslim community and the larger Louisville community.”
With gratitude and warm regards,
Riffat Hassan, Executive Director, The Salaam Network (TSN)
