Indivisible- the Louisville Chapter Meeting Rescheduled to Sunday March 16th 2-3pm

Attention:

For those members who have asked about the new Louisville chapter meetings of Indivisible, the 2nd meeting will NOT take place at All Peoples as originally planned.
Due to winter darkness and extreme hazard in crossing Ky 22 at night, the Louisville Chapter will wait to schedule at All Peoples when it’s daylight through 8pm. Excess parking would result in a risk and Indivisible planners do not want to take the chance.

Indivisible is another tool to successfully strive to realize our UU values in support of our work with the Justice Center.

The Justice Center at All Peoples works to engage and mobilize our Congregation in meaningful justice advocacy and activism.  One of its objectives is to support our marginalized and vulnerable communities.

Indivisible is completely independent of the Justice Center.  It does not detract for the mission of the Justice Center but is another tool in our “arsenal” of activism in fighting for democracy.  Without democracy, marginalized groups will suffer even more.  Indivisible’s Louisville Chapter will be creating sub-groups in the future to work on local issues:  immigration, reproductive rights, education, etc. There may be an opportunity for collaboration.

Choose to engage or not- it’s an invitation to explore all options. Sign up for weekly newsletters and attend local meetings- review the task list below to see what you can do from home or with a group at future rallies.

Indivisible strives to build a democracy that reflects a broad, multiracial “we the people,” one that works for all of us and is sustained by all of us. Only then will we be able to achieve a progressive vision for our future.  All Peoples will not engage in political campaigning as defined by our 501(c)3 status.

Today, the Indivisible movement is a progressive grassroots movement of millions of activists across every state, fueled by a partnership between thousands of autonomous local Indivisible groups and a national staff. Indivisible’s national team offers strategic leadership, movement coordination, and support to Indivisible activists, and also directly lobbies congress, builds partnerships, runs media campaigns, and develops advocacy strategies. Together Indivisible fights to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.

Indivisible Project (501c4) drives coordinated campaigns, powering the grassroots Indivisible movement to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and win an inclusive democracy and bold progressive policies.

Indivisible Civics (501c3) provides movement coordination, resources, training, and tools to fuel a powerful and aligned national movement of Indivisible groups and activists to organize for change.

Indivisible Action (PAC) channels grassroots energy into electing progressive candidates who will work towards an inclusive democracy that provides for the needs of all people, and to defeat politicians who will stand in its way.

INDIVISIBLE’S VISION

A real democracy – of, by, and for the people.
