Our traditional Members Art Show returns to lead us up to WinterFair! We urge you to join the creation “A Tapestry of Reflections on Covid”, the current theme for this non-juried (open) show.
For 2.5+ years, Covid interrupted our lives, and created a public health emergency. Covid still evolves with unknown variants, more uncertainty and even more emotions. Who knows what fall will bring: relief or more changes. We want our ordinary lives!
Our creativity and Covid met and shared lots of ideas for a new twist on this eclectic fall show!
During the months of Covid, our Tapestry became a quarterly magazine, with a theme for each issue. In the first three issues, we submitted reflections related to the given theme, including essays, poems and haiku, quotes (and a response), song lyrics (revised from a familiar tune), book reviews, stories, memories, reflections, and more art than you can imagine, such as paintings, photographs, quilting, stitchery, drawing, multi-media, sculpture and more.
We ARE a creative congregation, in spite of Covid and maybe because of it!
Now let’s take this ingenuity into a Members Art Show that is different than ever before! Let’s take this opportunity to reflect about Covid, the pandemic, quarantine and all that came with it: changes, fear, uncertainty, solitude, concern, confusion, illness, death and more. What did we feel, notice, and experience? How can we reflect that creatively?
THIS is the announcement for everyone at All Peoples about this year’s Members Art Show. You, all of you, are invited to participate! We urge you to join the creation “A Tapestry of Reflections on Covid”, the current theme for this non-juried (open) show.
