Endowment Fund Board
Charter
Mission: In accordance with Article XI of the Church by-laws, it is the mission of the Endowment Fund Board to provide for the safekeeping, management, preservation, and investment of the fund.
Vision: The Endowment Fund Board seeks to ensure that the Church has adequate funding to provide for the expansion of the facilities of the Church, for the replacement of major parts of those facilities, for the performance of good works and acts of beneficence, and for conferring honors, appropriate to the goals and stated purpose of the Church.
Committee Members: In accordance with Section II, Article XI of the Church by-laws, the Endowment Fund Board shall be composed of 5 members. Two members shall be the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees and another member of the Board of Trustees. The remaining 3 Supervisors shall be elected by the Congregation at the regular October meeting from the list of Active members eligible to vote, but not on the Board of Trustees. Supervisors shall be elected for regular 3 year terms in staggered fashion with one supervisor elected each year.
The Supervisors shall elect a President and Secretary from among themselves at the first meeting after the October Congregational meeting.
General Procedures:
The President of the Endowment Fund Board (or his designee) shall attend the Church Council meetings, and provide reports as requested.
The President of the Endowment Fund Board shall submit an Annual Report to the congregation at the October Congregational meeting.
The Endowment Fund Board meets quarterly as agreed upon by the Supervisors, and at other times, as needed.
The Endowment Fund Board manages and invests assets of the fund; maintains the Founder’s Court Brick program, and promotes the Legacy program.
The Endowment Fund Board communicates with the congregation through quarterly Tapestry articles.
The Secretary of the Endowment Fund Board prepares minutes of all meetings, and ensures proper distribution of the minutes to Board Supervisors and the Church Administrator.
Seasonal Procedures:
In accordance with Section 5, Article XI of the Church by-laws, the Supervisors of the Endowment Fund Board may authorize yearly fund expenditures for the accomplishment of good works and acts of beneficence, and for conferring honors.
