I am pleased to let you know that Dr. Leonard Swidler will be our Guest Presenter on June 9, 2021. Dr. Swidler is one of the Founders of the Jewish-Christian-Muslim interreligious dialogue in the U.S. This dialogue (generally called Trialogue”) was sponsored by the Kennedy Institute of Ethics, Georgetown University, Washington D. C. (1978-1984) He was a close
associate of Dr. Hans Kung and both were involved in the drafting of “Toward a Universal Declaration of Global Ethic” envisaged as a supplement to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948) Dr. Swidler worked as Professor of Catholic Theology and Professor of Interreligious Dialogue at Temple University in Philadelphia until recently. It is a great honor for us to have this opportunity to meet Dr. Swidler who has introduced the discipline of Interreligious Dialogue in several countries. He has sent the latest version of Guidelines for Dialogue (attached) This is the reading for the June 9 meeting.
